Biography

Meet Fr. Wallace:

Fr. Wallace is the Pastor of All Saints Parish in Haverhill. Under the leadership of Fr. Wallace, the parish strives to be an active Catholic faith community.

Meet our Pastor, Rev. Christopher Wallace, who prefers to be called “Father Chris.” Many of the initiatives he has prioritized as a pastor are to help our parish become a stronger community so that we may understand, engage with, and meet the needs of everyone God has placed in our lives, whether or not they are currently active members of our parish, whether or not they are Catholic, or Christian, or of any faith or no faith. Fr. Chris encourages each parishioner to establish daily habits of prayer and contemplation, as well as commitment to liturgical worship and participation. He asks that each of us prayerfully consider getting more involved in community activities and ministries to share time and talents, and to participate in the New Evangelization.

Talk with Fr. Chris after Mass or at a parish event, or any time call 978-372-7721 or email with questions or to set up time to meet one-on-one.

Fr. Chris was installed as pastor for All Saints Parish in June, 2018. He lives in the parish rectory building across the parking lot from our church. He shares the upper floor residence with two retired priests. Here is a little of his biography and background:

Father Chris Wallace was born in Boston and attended local schools. His home parish was Our Lady of Good Counsel in Methuen. He graduated from Merrimack College in North Andover, then completed seminary studies at St. John’s in Brighton, Massachusetts.

He served as a deacon at St. Joseph Parish in Needham, and after ordination he served as parochial vicar for Living Water Catholic, the collaborative of Holy Family Parish in Amesbury, and Star of the Sea Parish in Salisbury. Fr. Chris is co-founder of the Merrimack Valley Catholic Youth Conference.

Meet Fr.

Fr. Marcos is originally from El Salvador, Central America. From a young age, he's been a lover of sports, especially soccer and basketball, as well as a fan of music and dance, especially folkloric.

Fr. Marcos entered the seminary in 2003, was ordained as a priest in 2009, and has served in three parishes before coming to All Saints. The first was Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in El Salvador, a parish organized pastorally according to the Integral System of New Evangelization (SINE in Spanish), whose objective is to evangelize parishioners so that they can, united in small communities: pray, know the faith, and evangelize. Second, he was assigned to San Pio X, a parish located in Logroño, Spain.  During his time in Spain, Fr. Marcos also served the San Pedro de Logroño hospital, located a few meters from the parish. Third, he was a pastor for three years at Santa Marta de Bethania parish in San Salvador.  While he was a pastor there, he was also a formator at San José de la Montaña Central Seminary.

One of Father Marcos' priorities is to bring the Hispanic community closer to the parish of All Saints.  He speaks Spanish as his mother tongue and is working hand in hand with Father Chris, pastor at All Saints, to form a single community of believers.

Since Fr. Marcos arrived at the parish of All Saints, he has fit in well and is happy to be part of this community. He lives in the parish house with Father Chris and two other priests, and is available to meet and speak with everyone: in person by appointment, by phone at (978) 994-3398, or by email mtpena.21 @ gmail.com.
