Introducing Francis Shackleton, Young Adult Ministry
Greetings to the wonderful parishioners of All Saints!
My name is Francis Shackleton! I’ve recently been inducted into your parish as a part time youth worker! I cannot express how excited I am to be a part of this parish community! I’m looking forward to growing in holiness with you all, and building relationships with our young adults and youth. They're the future, so it’s important to invest our time in their growth as young Christians in today’s modern world. I’d like to share a little bit about myself and the journey Jesus had taken me on.
I currently hail from Salisbury, MA, where I grew up with my wonderful parents and younger sister. I attended Triton regional High School in Byfield, and graduated in 2017. I was discerning my next steps after school, and The Lord gave me the opportunity to serve with NET Ministries. The National Evangelization Teams (NET) is a Catholic non profit where we “challenge young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the church.” It’s based out of West Saint Paul, MN and has been around since 1981. We send young adult missionaries across the country to conduct youth retreats for 9 months, it is absolutely wild and has changed my life for the better. I served as a missionary from 2017-2019, and then on staff from 2019-2022. This past year I was in Scotland for the year, I’d love to share more about that experience in person!
Since returning from NET, I currently work as a sales rep for a Verizon retailer called Cellular Sales in Seabrook, NH. Other than that, I usually spend time with family and friends.
Here’s a few fun facts about me! I love to play the guitar, I love movies and video games, I really enjoy trying new foods, I love nature walks and hikes. I enjoy traveling, and have been to 9 different countries, and my favorite sport is basketball.
My confirmation Saint is Michael the Archangel.
Hopefully this gives you some more insight into who I am, but nothing substitutes meeting you in person.
I look forward to meeting the body of Christ that is All Saints!
God Bless and keep me in your prayers!
